Concrete Work 95% Completed

This past week, the contractor completed the concrete sidewalks, driveways, and curb & gutter from Elm Street to Harlem Avenue.

A majority of all the concrete work is now completed along the entire project site.

The contractor also performed some manhole replacements, structure adjustments, landscape grading, and topsoil installation along the project site.

Next week, the contractor anticipates performing work in preparation for roadway excavation. The work will include adjusting the existing structures within the pavement, removing excess materials and equipment from job site that are no longer needed, mobilizing roadway excavation and grading equipment, grading and installing topsoil behind the concrete curb & gutter and/or sidewalk, and other miscellaneous tasks.

It is anticipated the removal of the existing pavement and grading for aggregate base material will begin the week of July 28st. Residents will be notified prior to this work beginning and the restrictions it will have on access to your driveways. There will be no long-term closures as with the concrete work, just during working hours.

We apologize for the inconvenience the roadway improvements are causing to your daily lives. Thanks again for your patience and understanding.
