Concrete Work Continues Next Week

This past week, the roadway improvements work moved between the  Elm Street and Harlem Avenue.  The work completed included removal of existing concrete curb & gutter, sidewalks, and driveways;  installing and grading aggregate base materials under the concrete curb & gutter; adjusting manholes and catch basins; and installation of the concrete curb & gutter.

A 95% of all the concrete curb & gutter along the entire roadway is now installed.

Next week, the contractors will continue to install the concrete driveways and sidewalks between Elm Street and Harlem Avenue. It is anticipated that a majority of the concrete work will be completed by the end of next week.

The contractor will continue to grade the landscape behind the curb & gutter and/or walks as well as install topsoil along the project.

It is anticipated the removal of the existing pavement and grading for aggregate base material will begin the week of July 21st. Residents will be notified prior to this work beginning and the restrictions it will have on access to your driveways. There will be no long-term closures as with the concrete work, just during working hours.

We apologize for the inconvenience the roadway improvements are causing to your daily lives.  Thanks again for your patience and understanding.
